David S. Hoffman has been practicing law since December, 1990, after having completed his J.D. studies at Santa Clara University School of Law.  He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, (1080). and a Master of Arts in Communication Studies (1984), from the University of Nevada, Reno.

David has operated his own solo practice, emphasizing real estate and probate/trust matters since February, 2002, having worked 10 years prior with local Campbell attorney, David R. Sylva, and prior to that, with Hanson, Bridgett, Marcus, Vlahos and Rudy (now, Hanson Bridgett) in San Francisco.

In addition to his busy law practice, he has served on the Santa Clara University School of Law Alumni Board, (President, 1997-1998), Congregation Beth David Board of Directors, (President 2013-2016), and is currently an Early Neutral Evaluator for the Superior Court in Santa Clara County, (since 2007), and a private mediator, (since 1996).  He holds a Life Credential, Language Arts and Literature Instructor for California Community Colleges.  He has taught Legal Research and Writing at Santa Clara University School of Law, and public speaking and debate and argumentation classes at University of Nevada, Reno, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University and Evergreen Community College.
