The Labor & Employment Law Section and Real Estate/Business Litigation Committee are co-hosting this June 12 presentation, that will review 2025’s Top 10 Mistakes still being made by businesses that generate employee lawsuits against them. The panelists will discuss such issues as: How are your posters and policies still non-compliant? What trainings have you failed to conduct that generate exposure? How have the courts broadened the definitions of both “supervisor” and “independent contractor” so as to increase lawsuits against businesses? What common wage-hour, salary, and overtime practices are consistently landing businesses in court? When is a “loan” not recoverable when someone terminates?
