The Women Lawyers Section of SCCBA cordially invites you to the annual Mary Jo Levinger Woman Jurist of the Year Award Reception.  Each year, the Mary Jo Levinger Award honors a jurist whose work reflects the enduring values Judge Levinger brought to the bench—diligence, empathy, and a commitment to fairness that ensures every voice is acknowledged within the framework of the law.  

This year, we are honored to recognize Justice Mary J. Greenwood, Presiding Justice of the Sixth District Court of Appeal, as the 2025 Woman Jurist of the Year. Appointed by Governor Jerry Brown in 2017, Justice Greenwood took office in January 2018 and, shortly thereafter, became the Sixth District’s first female Administrative Presiding Justice. Her distinguished career and groundbreaking leadership have had a lasting impact on the legal community in Santa Clara County and across California.

This reception is more than a celebration of one individual—it’s a tribute to the evolving landscape of the judiciary and the women who continue to lead with principle and purpose.
