The Women Lawyers Section of SCCBA cordially invites you to the annual Mary Jo Levinger Woman Jurist of the Year Award Reception.  Each year, the Mary Jo Levinger Award honors a jurist whose work reflects the enduring values Judge Levinger brought to the bench—diligence, empathy, and a commitment to fairness that ensures every voice is acknowledged within the framework of the law.   

This year, we are honored to recognize the Honorable Lori E. Pegg of the Santa Clara County Superior Court as the 2026 Woman Jurist of the Year. Appointed in 2013 by then-Governor Jerry Brown, the Honorable Lori Pegg has served both the Santa Clara County Superior Court and the Santa Clara County Bar Association with integrity, compassion, and kindness. Judge Pegg is dedicated to the rule of law, fairness, and equity, and has frequently presented on the topic of Implicit Bias. She has freely volunteered her skills and expertise for SCCBA programs and seminars throughout her tenure, and has shown unwavering support for the bar and the legal community at large. Judge Pegg is well-respected by her colleagues and co-workers throughout the Bay Area. Please join us in congratulating Judge Lori Pegg as this year's recipient of the Mary Jo Levinger Award.

This reception is more than a celebration of one individual—it’s a tribute to the evolving landscape of the judiciary and the women who continue to lead with principle and purpose.
