How to Pick A Jury with the New Jury Selection Rules
How to Pick A Jury with the New Jury Selection Rules
Wednesday, January 17, 2024 (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (PST)
Description
Jury selection can be the beginning or end of your case.
Depending on the plaintiff, the defendant, and the corporation—jurors decide your client’s fate.
What used to be an easy challenge without explanation is that the law is changing as of 2026.
Before we know it, C.C.P. section 231.7 will go into effect. It prevents peremptory challenges for discriminatory purposes.
We will cover the new law. But we will also cover jury selection in general.
What should we look for? How do we get jurors to be honest about what they think going into the process?
