My interest in numbers stems from my accounting background while working as a corporate controller. However, I felt more drawn to human interactions and wanted to make a positive impact on people's lives.
As a result, I decided to dedicate my professional life to personal financial planning. I started in 2003 as a financial analyst for a major US bank, then completed my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2008 and founded my independent advisory firm in 2010 and aligned with LPL Financial, the largest independent brokerage firm in the US, as reported by Financial Planning magazine, June 1996-2021, based on total revenue.
Later on, I obtained CERTIFIED DIVORCE FINANCIAL ANALYST™ designation in order to better help women recover financially from divorce, secure their independent future, and alleviate the stress that accompanied uncertainty during divorce. I have been active in WomenSV, a non-profit organization that supports victims of domestic violence and dedicated my time to educate and support women in these challenging circumstances.
I believe in giving back to the community and educated over 2500 people as part of the pro bono team I led for over 10 years at the Financial Planning Association (FPA®).
