Day 1: Civil Trial Institute

Day 1: Civil Trial Institute

Thursday, October 13, 2022 (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

Develop your skills as a trial lawyer! The Civil Trial Institute will be a six-hour workshop for lawyers to hear from judges and experienced practitioners and improve real-world trial skills through hands-on activities. Day 1 will concern “Pretrial” topics, from preparing a case for trial through selecting a jury. Day 2 will focus on the stages of the trial itself, from the opening statement to the summation. Throughout, you will hear tips on what to do—and not do. A single hypothetical provided to registrants will provide the foundation for the 2-day institute.

*While virtual attendance is available, in-person participation is highly encouraged to get the most out of the Institute’s hands-on opportunities. Food & beverages are included for in-person attendees.

*Please note this is a 2-day event. There is a $10 discount if you register for both days. You can find the promo code for Day 2 registration in your confirmation email.
